How I Would Define Healthy Eating
I would define healthy eating as eating a variety of foods that give you all the nutrients your body needs to maintain your health, energy, and to feel good overall. According to Andrew Weil, M.D. healthy eating is properly balancing the food we eat, and to wisely determining the kind of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins we put on our plate. You should consume the types and quantities of food that offer a good balance of nutrition and energy to support growth and metabolism according to Livestong. It also states that you should eat less sugar, cholesterol, sodium, and detrimental fats, and consume more health-promoting vitamins and minerals. According to the website Breast Cancer you should eat a variety of foods to maintain your health, which include protein, carbohydrates, fat, water, vitamins, and minerals. Nutrition is important, but when combined with being physically active is a great way to keep your body strong, and maintaining a healthy weight. Don't forget to watch what you eat because it can affect your immune system, mood, and energy levels.

Why I chose healthy eating!
The reason I chose healthy eating is because I personally need to make better choices with what I eat on a daily. I know that eating healthier foods will make anyone feel better both mentally and physically. I hope to find new healthy recipes to cook for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I also want to learn what fruits and vegetables offer the best nutrition.
